Each stone we lay is permanent. Repair work, adding on to an existing landscape, or starting from scratch, all Bonded stone installations are all guaranteed in writing! Asheville has a strong history of beautiful hardscapes and stone structures. From the Grove Park Inn, to the Biltmore, to the homes in our own neighborhoods, stone is a local bounty the we use to enhance our property. Mined northwest of Asheville on Doggit Mountain, a dense granite-like stone that is perfect for drystack or mortared retaining walls and curbs.
A stone local to North Asheville, Hooper's Creek stone is good for any application - patios and walkways, walls, stairs, curbs, and veneer. High quality, dense rock.
Crab Orchard flagstone is beautifully flat and comes in a variety of colors. Blue/Grey, Tan, Calico, and Variagated, it can accent any palate. Mined in Tennessee
A sandstone fit for any application - dry or mortared walls, steppers, stairs, or curbs. This stone has it's own color palate from tan to red to greens and blues.
Ashlar is a highly refined stone. With straight grain lines, it comes in more "regular" shapes, and can also be tumbled for smooth edges. It has amazing color and figure within the stone.
Dredged from the Nolichucky river, these river "slicks" as they are called, come in all sizes from pebbles to boulders, and no two stones are alike!
Water mitigation
Flooded Basement? Wet lawn? Eroded hillside? Washed out patio? Cracked concrete or asphalt? Damaged foundation? Water mitigation can be a major issue in the mountains and valleys of WNC. If it is allowed to flow unchecked, water can cause massive erosion and can make a property disappear before your eyes. If it is allowed to collect and cause hydrostatic pressure next to a structure, well, it can move mountains. Our goal is to direct water away from the home and safely guide it to a larger drainage field without causing erosion. There are many types of drains, and each situation is completely unique. Be it water on your roof, water on your lawn, your driveway, or your neighbor's property, all water that enters your property is a potential threat if it is not directed properly. Bonded Contracting guarantees all drainage systems in writing. Dan has dealt with some of the worst drainage situations imaginable, and loves the challenge they pose!
